Barn conversion

Non-residential barn conversion, Oxfordshire

This Victorian 5-bay barn was converted to provide a very high quality multi-functional hospitality space attached to private out-door sports facilities. Further ancillary buildings in the complex included both sensitive new build and other agricultural conversions.

The palate of materials for this project was chosen to complement the original oak and elm structural members of the barn and included stone flagged and oak boarded floors.

A contemporary feel was introduced by incorporating dark grey aluminium windows and minimalist glass balustrading. The language of these new materials has helped to distinguish the modern interventions, without detracting from the original character of the barn.
